Welcome to Whaly

The Whaly Privacy Policy explains how we collect your personal data, with the strictest respect for your rights, and how that data is used. When we talk about “Whaly,” “we,” “our,” or “us” in this policy, we are referring to Whaly SAS.

During your use of the services that can be accessed on our website, https://whaly.io , later referred to as "Whaly", we may require you to provide us with personal data. “Personal data” means any data that enables a person to be identified, e.g. your family name, given name, photograph, or email address, as well as any other information with which you choose to provide us.

Your personal data is collected to meet one or several of the following requirements:
    To manage your access to and use of Whaly services,
    To carry out customer management, including contracts, orders, deliveries, invoices, and follow-ups,
    To constitute a file of registered members, users, customers and prospects,

    To manage customers' opinions of Whaly products,
    To respect our legal and regulatory obligations.
We will inform you, when requesting your personal data, if certain data must be provided or if it is optional. We will also inform you of the consequences should you not wish to provide this data.

Whaly is aligned with General Data Protection Regulation since the 24th May 2018.

Recipients of the collected data

Only our employees, the services we use, and trusted third-party applications may have access to your personal data. Government agencies may also be recipients of your personal data, exclusively to meet legal obligations.

Prohibition on the sale of personal data

We shall not sell, transfer or lease out your personal data to third parties.

Duration that personal data is kept

We will retain Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. If you close your account with us, there may be residual data that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.

Should you want to remove your account or ask for a backup of your data by writing us at [email protected] .
Your data will be removed under 30 days after that action.

For your information, we take all necessary precautions, as well as the appropriate organizational and technical measures, to maintain the security, integrity and confidentiality of your personal data, and in particular to prevent it from being deformed or damaged and to prevent any unauthorized third party from accessing it.

Whaly uses cookies to record log data. We use both session-based and persistent cookies (or localStorage used as a per service cookie).
Cookies are small text files sent by us to your computer and from your computer or mobile device to us each time you visit our website or use our desktop application. They are unique to your account or your browser. Session-based cookies last only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last until you or your browser delete them or until they expire.

Finally, we use third parties like Google Analytics, Segment, Hubspot and Amplitude for website analytics. You may opt-out of third party cookies from Google Analytics on its website .

Modifications

Any change of this policy will be posted on this page. If you continue to use the Services after those changes are in effect, you agree to the revised policy.
